Man steals drone, gloves

Tamaqua Police have cited Timothy J. Welker Jr., 26, for retail theft after an incident at the M and S Hardware Store, 10 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, on Dec. 12.

Welker entered the store that afternoon and took a remote-controlled drone, valued at $89.99, and a pair of work gloves, valued at $24.99, then fled the store on foot. Employees gave chase but were unable to catch the thief.

They did retrieve the drone, which was dropped during the chase.
