Emerald woman faces DUI charges

Slatington police reported the arrest of Heather Werner, 44, of 3442 Main St., Emerald, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said they were alerted to a reckless driver nearly striking vehicles while traveling north on Main Street at 9:41 p.m. Dec. 4. A traffic stop was made, followed by the DUI arrest. Werner was also cited for failure to maintain the lane of travel and driving a vehicle that had an expired registration sticker on it.
