Local men are victims of store lot incident

Two local residents, Emanuel Rivera of Lansford and Charles Wagner of Tamaqua, were among five victims of an incident that took place between 10:30 and 10:46 a.m. Dec. 17 in the parking lot of the Walmart Store in Hazle Township.

State police at the Hazleton barracks said they attempting to identify a 25- to 30-year-old man who was observed attempting to gain entry to the five vehicles while they were marked in the lot of the store.

Police said the man is about 6 feet tall with brown hair and a beard. He was wearing a gray two-tone hooded sweatshirt with the word "Brooklyn" on it, blue jeans and red sneakers.

Police said he is also believed to be involved in a theft of a motor vehicle incident that occurred at the Kmart parking lot of the Laurel Mall.
