Burglaries reported in Monroe County
Pocono Mountain Regional Police have secured arrest warrants for Tymeek Gant, 20, of Tobyhanna, and Itisha Bowen, 38, of Staten Island, New York, a boyfriend-girlfriend couple who authorities said broke into a Tobyhanna residence and assaulted its owner.
Police said they are facing charges of conspiracy, burglary, robbery, aggravated assault, criminal trespass, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief as a result of the home invasion that happened at 6:39 p.m. Friday in the area of 2100 Larkspur Lane, Tobyhanna.
Police said they responded to a burglary in progress after being told a male and female had entered the residence and were assaulting a female inside the premises. Gant and Bowen, they said, fled the scene in a black Nissan before police arrival.
Police said the victim sustained several bite marks and visible cuts. She advised officers she knew Gant and that the woman with him was his girlfriend, who, the victim said, bit her and struck her in the head with a flower pot.
Police went to Gant's residence, where they identified Bowen, but were unable to locate the perpetrators.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact police at 570-895-2400.
