State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a lost and found property incident that was discovered at 7:55 p.m. Dec. 18 at a cemetery at North Coal and East streets in Port Carbon.

Police said three firefighter helmets were discovered in a brush pile at the cemetery. One of the helmets is black with reflector stickers and a face shield on it, and has the word "Stonington" across the top.

Police said they contacted representatives of the Stonington Fire Department in Northumberland County, but were told the helmet did not belong to the company.

A second helmet is yellow with a face shield and has the words "West Fairview" across the top of it. The third helmet is black and has an NYFD 9/11 sticker on it.

Anyone with information on the owners of the helmets is asked to contact police at 570-739-1330.
