Slip and fall suit

Harry C. Johnson, 360 Lehigh Ave., Apt. A, Palmerton, filed a civil complaint against Laura Pastor, 210 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton.

The suit states on Jan. 10, 2014, the plaintiff was walking downhill east on the sidewalk in front of the defendants' property when he was caused to slip and fall due to an accumulation of snow and ice, causing injuries detailed in the suit.

Negligence is alleged against the defendant and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 plus interest, costs and fees.

Injury suit

Thomas Cawley, 304 Dover Chester Road, Randolph, New Jersey, filed a civil complaint against Charles Burke, 1460 Laurel Lane, Palmerton.

The suit states on Sept. 6, 2013, the plaintiff was at 1460 Laurel Lane, helping the defendant remove the trailer hitch from his truck. The suit alleges the defendant told the plaintiff to reach into the bed of the truck and retrieve a hammer. When he did the truck went in reverse, running over the plaintiff's foot and knocking him to the ground hitting bricks and/or firewood, causing injuries detailed in the suit.

Negligence is alleged against the defendant and sought are damages not in excess of $50,000 plus interest, costs and fees.

Bills owed

R.F. Ohl Fuel Oil Inc., 400 Interchange Road, Lehighton, filed a civil complaint against Marie Link, 5227 Kimberly Lane, Kresgeville, alleging she owes a bill for services provided. Sought is $2,445.71 plus interest, costs and fees.
