Bayview Loan Servicing, LLC, Columbus Ohio, has filed a mortgage foreclosure complaint against Arthur L. Handson III, 345 Pine Cone Drive, Lehighton, over a property at that address.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant is in default of a contract in which an unpaid credit card balance is sought.
Judgment in the amount of $1,442.10, plus costs, is sought.
Cavalry SPV 1, LLC, Valhalla, New York, has filed a debt collection complaint against John Fischer, 31 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant is in default of a contract in which an unpaid credit card balance is sought.
Judgment in the amount of $2,295.09, plus costs, is sought.
Crash is basis of tort claims
John Mullikin and Michele Mullikin, husband and wife, of 210 Woods Road, Palmerton, have filed a civil complaint against Brian F. Smith, 695 Walnut Drive, Palmerton, seeking judgment in excess of $50,000 in each of four complaints. A jury trial is sought.
The suit states the plaintiffs were occupants of a 2013 Toyota Tundra vehicle that was traveling north on Route 209 in Franklin Township on April 20, 2014, when a vehicle operated by Smith, which was also traveling northbound, hit the Mullikin vehicle from behind.
Two of the counts claim negligence, one by each plaintiff, while the other two counts of the suit allege each of the plaintiffs has suffered loss of consortium of each other. In addition to seeking judgment in excess of the compulsory arbitration jurisdiction limits of the court ($50,000) on each count, the plaintiffs are seeking costs of the suit and delay damages as allowed by law.
Complaint in ejectment
The Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Washington, D.C., has filed a complaint in ejectment against Daniel Heffelfinger, and occupants, 473 Franklin Ave., Palmerton.
The complaint states the subject property was exposed at a Carbon County Sheriff's Sale on June 13, 2014, at which time the Bank of America, N.A., was the successful purchaser. Through a quit-claim deed recorded in the office of the recorder of deeds on Dec. 1, 2014, the plaintiff became owner of the property.
The plaintiff states the defendant(s) are occupying the premises without right and asks the court to order immediate possession of the premises.
Defaults on note
Mauch Chunk Trust Company has filed a civil action against Robert J. Shubeck, 108 W. Mill St., Nesquehoning, and Judy L. Shubeck, formerly known as Judy L. Dougherty, 312 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe.
The suit states the defendants executed a promissory note with the plaintiff for a mortgage loan that encumbers the real estate on Mill Street and that the defendants are in default of the note and mortgage.
The plaintiff is seeking judgment in the amount of $32,582.52, plus interest, attorney's fees and costs.
