Jim Thorpe Policeman's Ball to benefit 'Autism Speaks'
The Jim Thorpe Police Department is gearing up for its seventh annual Policeman's Ball.
The event will take place from 6 to midnight on March 21, at Memorial Hall, 101 E. 10th St. in Jim Thorpe.
The ball, which will feature formal attire and a sit-down meal, will benefit "Autism Speaks."
Although the ball is still months away, the department is welcoming any donations to help defray the cost of the event.

Donations, specifically identified as being for the Policeman's Ball, can also be mailed to the Jim Thorpe Police Department at 101 E. 10th Street, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229.
This year's ball will feature entertainment provided by "Music by Hoyt."
Tickets are limited to only 250, and are available on a first come, first serve basis. The cost will be $50 per plate. There will be an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, a candlelight dinner and dancing.
