Suit for damages
Morrice Transportation Inc., 3049 Devon Drive, Windsor, Ontario, Canada, filed a civil complaint against Wreckers International, dba Schlier's Towing and Frank's Service Station, 640 Interchange Rd., Lehighton.
The suit states on Nov. 25, 2013 a truck owned by the plaintiff broke down along the northbound lanes of the turnpike. The defendant firm was hired to tow the vehicle to the Hickory Run Service Plaza where it was to be serviced by another firm.
The suit alleges in towing the truck the defendants caused damages to the drive shaft. Negligence is alleged and sought are damages of $16,095.54 plus interest, costs and fees.
