Al-Anon meetings
Al-Anon group meets Mondays at 7:15 p.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Church Hall, 120 E. Abbott St., Lansford.
Al-Anon is a nonprofit, worldwide support organization helping families and friends of loved ones suffering from addiction.
Golden Agers
The Panther Valley Golden Agers are scheduled to meet Monday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m. at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall, 1 E. Abbott St. Lansford.
Meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.
Summit Hill
Food pantry distribution dates
2015 food distribution dates for the pantry are as follows: Tuesdays, Jan. 27, Feb. 24, March 31, April 28, May 26, June 23, July 28, Aug. 25, Sep. 22, Oct. 27; and Mondays, Nov. 23 and Dec. 21.
The food pantry is located in the Summit Hill Heritage Center on Hazard and Chestnut streets. Distribution takes place between 10-11:30 a.m.
There is to be no parking in the alley before 9:45 a.m. and absolutely no parking in the vacant lot.
Recipients are reminded to bring along extra strong shopping/tote bags. Recipients are also asked to please cut out and save this notice for the year.
