So the Super Bowl isn't your thing, or maybe you're just not into it this year.

Or maybe you like your football with a little drama on the side, deflated balls not withstanding. Perhaps you're up for a different breed of sports hero.

How about a good old-fashioned football movie instead?

We polled some of the Times News staff members, including the editorial and sports departments, and asked them to share their favorite football movies.

Here are the top five:

1. Rudy

2. Remember the Titans

3. The Blind Side

4. We Are Marshall

5. Jerry Maguire and Brian's Song (tied)

Our Facebook poll yielded almost identical results:

1. Rudy

2. Remember the Titans

3. The Blind Side

4. Brian's Song

5. We Are Marshall

If football leaves you cold, even the ones that will have you sobbing in your popcorn, there are plenty of other options.

You could head to the local cinema and catch up on this year's Oscar-nominated films.

American Sniper, starring Bradley Cooper, and The Imitation Game, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightly, are playing at the Mahoning Valley Cinema, as well as theaters in Allentown and Bethlehem. If you feel like traveling to the Lehigh Valley, you could also catch Birdman and Selma.

Don't feel like going out, there are plenty of great recently released movies to watch On Demand.

Drama

"Fury," starring Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf, was just released this week. Also available is "Gone Girl," starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, and "The Hundred Foot Journey," starring Helen Mirren & Om Puri.

Comedy

"22 Jump Street," the sequel to the 2012 film, stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. Another popular release is "Neighbors" starring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron.

Family

"How to Train Your Dragon 2": The heroic Viking Hiccup and his dragon Toothless, the inseparable duo, must protect the peace and save the future of men and dragons from the power-hungry Drago.

"Dolphin Tale 2": The brave dolphin Winter faces an uncertain future when her surrogate mother, the very elderly dolphin Panama, passes away.

"Justice League: Throne of Atlantis": Aquaman is forced to choose sides between the Justice League and Atlantis, when Atlantean warriors begin a war to conquer the surface world.

"The Book of Life": is the journey of Manolo, a young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart.
