Mahoning stop leads to DUI count
A vehicle stop by Mahoning Township police had led to a Palmerton driver being charged with driving under the influence.
Dennis Smale II, 43, was stopped on June 5 at 12:55 a.m. along Route 443.
He has been charged with two counts of DUI, both misdemeanors, and a summary offense of careless driving. A blood test showed a 0.15 BAC. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 29.
