Palmerton driver charged with DUI

Mahoning Township police reported that Tamara Lynn Sytch, 42, of Palmerton, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence.

In addition, she was also charged with summary offenses of driving while suspended and careless driving.

Sytch was stopped on May 30 at 1:32 a.m. after an officer observed her vehicle drive into the oncoming lane and then hitting a curb on Route 443.

A blood test showed a 0.25 BAC.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 29.
