Copper, tools stolen in Schuylkill

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating two theft incidents at two Schuylkill County locations.

Troopers said unknown criminals gained entry to a PPL substation propertry in the area of 688-744 Taylorsville Road in Eldred Township, by cutting the perimeter fence. Once inside they cut about 22, 4/0 copper ground cables from the perimeter fence and fled. The incident occurred sometime between May 26 and June 9.

In the second incident someone entered a toolbox on a parked vehicle on the property of Anthony Kuklinski Iron Metal and Salvage, located at 2033 Market St., West Brunswick Township, and removed two socket sets and a Craftsman reciprocating saw. The incident occurred sometime between June 14 and 17.

Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-593-2000.
