Palmerton woman celebrates 90th birthday

Joyce Lorraine Cunfer is celebrating her 90th birthday.

She was born July 7, 1925, to David and Annie Olewine in Palmerton.

She married Charles "Chick" Cunfer on April 13, 1944, in Bowmanstown.

Joyce has two sons: David Cunfer, married to Bonnie Harley, and James Cunfer, married to Tami Cunfer.

She is blessed with two grandchildren: David and Robin, and seven great-grandchildren.

Joyce also has two grand-dogs (Buster and Lily) and a grand-cat (Lucky).

Before retiring, Joyce worked in the mill, but during her free time she loved to play pinochle, read and cook.

Nowadays, Joyce still loves to play pinochle and bingo, plant flowers and do crafts.

She is always willing to get her hands messy in the kitchen.
