Car without lights triggers arrest

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said a car driving without its lights at 11:23 p.m. May 26 on Route 940 in Tobyhanna Township triggered a drug arrest.

Police said Shachia Carter, 23, of Moscow, was stopped for the traffic violation, after which time police found suspected marijuana on him and inside the vehicle.

He was charged with three counts of driving under the influence and charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was also issued the citation for driving without lights.
