Long Pond man was passed out

Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending against Gregory Rosenberg, 22, of Long Pond, who Pocono Mountain Regional Police said was reported to be passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle at 7:05 a.m. June 28.

The incident happened along Long Pond Road in Tunkhannock Township, where police were summoned for a report of a man passed out behind the wheel of vehicle that was running at the time.

Police said when ambulance personnel, who were dispatched, approached the vehicle, Rosenberg awakened and took off in the vehicle. He was later stopped along Route 940. After failing field sobriety tests, he was transported to the Monroe County DUI Processing Center.
