McAdoo man arrested following incident

A McAdoo man was arrested following a domestic incident in the borough on Friday.

McAdoo police were dispatched to 30 N. Manning St. at 8:31 p.m. for a domestic dispute in progress.

On scene, the officer spoke with a woman who said her husband, Edward Bielen, had just choked her, first with his hands, then with a cellphone charger cord.

There were red marks on her neck. She felt the fight was unprovoked, but her husband had been drinking and "he gets angry when he drinks."

Edward was located in the back yard and arrested without incident. He was charged with harassment and simple assault.
