McAdoo woman steals neighbor's electricity
A McAdoo woman has been charged with theft of services after her neighbor discovered she had been using his electricity.
A contractor notified the homeowner at 27 S. Kennedy Drive of wires running from his home into the home at 25 S. Kennedy Drive, which was occupied by Lorraine Searfoss.
The victim took photos, which show an orange extension cord, which was plugged into a socket in his attic, which then ran into the Searfoss home.
There was also a white cord, with an attached switch, that ran from the electrical box into the other home.
There was no cover plate on the electrical box, just electrical tape, which is a fire hazard.
The cost of the stolen electricity was valued at $368.16.
