No one hurt in Monroe crash

No one was hurt but three vehicles were damaged in a crash at 6:29 p.m. Monday on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said the crash happened when a 2014 Toyota Corolla operated by Megan L. Vanvliet, 22, of Easton, was stopped due to traffic ahead of her.

Police said a 2002 Toyota Sienna, driven by Kathleen A. Hope, 31, also of Easton, slowed to stop. A 2005 Hyundai operated by Marybeth Barbato, 24, of Saylorsburg, failed to stop in time and struck the Hope vehicle, pushing it into the rear of the Vanvliet vehicle.

Police said Barbato was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
