Published July 09. 2015 04:00PM

One person sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash at 11:29 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Chestnut Street and King's Highway in Upper Milford Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said Mark J. Roberto, 53, of Pennsburg, was hurt and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Police said the incident happened when vehicles operated by Roberto and Lisa M. Caplan, 49, of Palmerton, were stopped in the lane of travel on Chestnut Street and a vehicle operated by Kathryn T. McGrath, 58, of Zionsville, was traveling too fast to stop in time. Police said the vehicle struck the rear of the Roberto vehicle, pushing it into the Caplan car.

Police said McGrath was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

The Macungie Ambulance and Mechanics Plus Towing assisted at the scene.
