Woman charged with possession
Tamaqua Police assisted Constable David Kneller on June 11 as he served warrants on Karen Rimsky, 30, at 242 Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua.
Kneller had no trouble serving the warrant and arresting Rimsky, but he needed Tamaqua police to deal with items he saw in the apartment, including what was suspected to be marijuana.
On top of a dresser was a bag filled with leafy green vegetable matter. Inside an open dresser drawer was a shoe box size box containing another bag of suspected marijuana and $900 in cash. The contents of the bags field tested positive for marijuana with an estimated street value of $320.
Rimsky will be charged with possession of marijuana.
