Elderly woman victim of phone scam
An elderly Monroe County woman is the apparent victim of a phone fraud scam.
State police at Lehighton said a 92-year-old woman from Saylorsburg, was contacted by phone and convinced to send money to an address supplied. Troopers did not indicate how much money was involved but said the incident occurred between July 10 and Monday.
The investigation is continuing.
