Minor injury in Carbon crash

A Monroe County driver sustained a minor injury in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 6:05 a.m. Monday along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Lyvio Deri, 20, of Long Pond, was driving a 2011 Nissan Versa eastbound in the right lane when his vehicle went onto the berm, down a small embankment, and struck a tree.

Deri did not require any medical attention. The Nissan had to be towed from the scene. Deri was cited for the crash.
