Swim lessons offered at Lansford pool
The Lansford Park and Recreation Board will offer swim lessons, taught by pool lifeguards, at the Lansford Community Pool during the last two weeks of July.
There will be four levels of classes.
Level 1 works on comfort in the water with the ultimate goal of independent doggie paddle. This is for the most basic and beginner swimmers.
Level 2 is for swimmers who already know how to doggie paddle. This is an introduction to basic stroke work and water safety.
Level 3 is an intermediate level that refines the basic strokes and water safety.
Level 4 is an advanced level, working on refining all strokes, water safety and some conditioning.
Classes will be held from 10:15-11 a.m. July 20-24 and from 6:15-7 p.m. from July 27-31.
Certificates of achievement will be awarded upon completion. Pool membership is not required.
Class registrations are being taken at the pool office during pool hours.
Anyone with questions may call pool personnel at 570-645-5237 between noon and 6:30 p.m.
