Carbon driver cited at Schuylkill crash

A Carbon County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County that occurred at 3:10 p.m. on Monday.

State police at Frackville said Gloria A. McLean, 73, of Nesquehoning, was driving a 2000 Ford Focus westbound on Route 1008 (Morea Road), in Mahanoy Township when she lost control while negotiating a left curve. The car went onto the south berm and struck the guardrail. After impact the car continued westbound and struck the guard rail along the north berm, where it came to rest.

McLean sustained a minor injury and was taken to St. Luke's Hospital-Miners campus. Troopers said she was cited for the crash.
