Man damages wall at magistrate office
A Carbon County man was charged following an incident at the office of District Judge Edward Lewis in Jim Thorpe.
Borough police said Jeffrey Allen Delong, 22, whose current address is the county prison in Nesquehoning, has been charged with institutional vandalism and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.
On June 3 about 5:13 p.m. Delong put his head through a wall in the holding cell in Lewis' office. Police said he did it after he learned he was going to be sentenced to a state prison term for a prior arrest.
