Schuylkill man facing theft count

A Schuylkill County man is facing a theft count and is wanted by police.

State police at Frackville said residents of a Water Street apartment in New Philadelphia, reported cash missing from their apartment. The theft occurred sometime between 10 and 10:20 a.m. on July 3.

A further investigation led to Timothy J. Cleary, 27, no known address. Troopers said Cleary removed the cash from the victims' apartment. A charge of theft by unlawful taking has been filed against Cleary.

Troopers said there is an active warrant for Cleary's arrest.
