Monroe driver facing DUI charge
A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred at 11:51 p.m. July 5.
Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to Country Place Drive in A Pocono Country Place after receiving a report of an erratic driver. Upon arrival, security personnel of the development had stopped the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Daniel Marrero, 54, of 7193 Rimrock Drive, Tobyhanna. He showed signs of intoxication and was arrested. He was transported to the county DUI center, where he submitted to a blood test.
The test results showed him to be three times over the legal limit of 0.08 percent, police said. He was charged with two counts of DUI, general impairment and highest rate.
