Cellphones added to victim's account

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating an identity theft incident in which someone added two additional cellphone lines to an account without the owner knowing it.

A Saylorsburg woman reported that the incident happened between 8 a.m. June 29 and 5:30 p.m. July 1 when the lines were added by an unknown person. Police said the woman discovered the identity theft when she opened her phone bill. She reported the situation to Verizon Wireless.
