Carbon driver facing DUI charge
A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident in Luzerne County on July 3.
State police at Hazleton said William Gaetano Vanriper, 27, of Weatherly, was stopped for a traffic violation at 6:49 p.m. along Route 93 in Hazle Township.
Vanriper was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance and was found to have in his possession controlled substances.
He was charged with DUI and drug counts.
