State police at Fern Ridge reported on two crashes investigated by troopers, both hit-and-runs, with one driver charged and the other being sought by police.

A one-vehicle crash occurred at 5:59 p.m. on Tuesday along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said James P. Anderson, 24, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 2000 Buick Saber northbound and veered off the road and struck a fence along the berm. Troopers said Anderson continued north on 209 and then onto Weir Lake Road without stopping and notifying police. He was not injured. He was cited for the crash.

Troopers investigated a crash at 11:04 p.m. Monday along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County. Troopers said a gray pickup was merging onto I-80 eastbound at Exit 274 while a bus was traveling east in the right lane. The driver entering the road failed to yield to the bus, and sideswiped it on the passenger side with the driver's side of the truck.

After impact the other driver fled the scene eastbound. No one was injured and damages were minor to the bus.
