Monroe man facing retail theft count

Published June 09. 2015 04:00PM

A Monroe County man is facing a charge of retail theft for an incident at Bill's Shop Rite store in Mount Pocono.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were dispatched to the store on June 4 at 10:30 a.m. for a report of four suspects in custody for retail theft. On scene police were told three of the suspects had fled through the store and left the scene.

Still in custody was Sean Livingston, 28, of Pocono Lake. Police were told the four suspects attempted to push two shopping carts full of items out the front door without paying for the merchandise. Police were also told since June 1 the suspects were coming into the store and stealing groceries.

A criminal check revealed an active warrant for Livingston issued out of Luzerne County for retail theft. Livingston was placed under arrest on the bench warrant and placed in the county prison in Snydersville. Pocono police have charged him with two counts each of retail theft and criminal conspiracy-theft.
