Panther Valley Band

Panther Valley High School band will have summer practice on Tuesday and Wednesday, and again on July 7 and July 21 in the PVHS band room from 7-8 p.m.

Band camp will run Aug. 6-18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school.

Nesquehoning

Free lunch

The free children's lunch program is back at Meed's Church, 126 Catawissa St, Nesquehoning. The program will run from Monday through Aug. 14.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Menus are subject to change.

• Monday: Chicken patty, souper rice, carrot sticks, dessert, drink

• Tuesday: Ham steak, buttered noodles, green beans, pears, drink

• Wednesday: Pancakes, sausage, orange juice, fresh fruit

• Thursday: Fish sticks, french fries, veggie sticks and dip, Jell-O, drink

• Friday: Grilled cheese, pickles, chips, fruit salad fluff, drink
