Two charged with not paying oil bill

Tamaqua police have cited two people in separate instances of failure to pay for fuel oil deliveries.

Mary Ford, 28, of 526 Arlington St., and Kristy Ann Kunkel, 25, of 107 Coal St., were charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after Jeff Reigel, owner of Reigel Fuel Oil LLC, contacted police on June 10.

Reigel told police he delivered $355.36 worth of fuel oil to Ford on Nov. 18, 2014, and $500.14 in fuel oil to Kunkel on April 24, 2014.

Both women failed to make payment, despite repeated attempts at contact.
