Man facing endangering count

A Monroe County man is facing a charge of endangering the welfare of a child after his 2-year-old son was found roaming on a public street.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 10:30 a.m. May 7 they received a call of a child roaming on Main Street in Coolbaugh Township. Police responded to the scene and after two hours, police were able to locate the child's father, Travis Paul, 25, of Tobyhanna, who was sleeping inside his residence.

He told officers he did not know that the boy had walked out of the residence and onto the street. The child was then released to the custody of Paul. Charges were filed.
