A Monroe County man is facing charges of retail theft.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said James Cockrell, 26, of Mount Pocono, entered the Walmart store in the borough on Jan. 23 about noon and removed $109 in merchandise without paying for it.
On Tuesday officers served a warrant on Cockrell at the Carbon County prison in Nesquehoning, charging him with two counts of retail theft.
He was arraigned on the charges with bail set at $5,000. He was unable to post the bail and was placed in the Monroe prison in Snydersville.
