Tamaqua woman cited for retail theft

Tamaqua police have cited Robyn Lynn Erney, 23, of 423 Hazle St., Tamaqua, with retail theft.

Police were contacted at 11:36 a.m. May 30 by an employee of Boyer's Food Market, 210 Cedar St., regarding a retail theft. The report says Erney entered the store, then concealed items valued at $80.07. When she was stopped by an employee, she tried to say she bought the items at Rite Aid, despite several of them being the Boyer's store brand.

The items were recovered.
