Scranton driver injured in crash

A Scranton driver was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:38 a.m. Saturday along Route 115, south of the Pocono Raceway in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Desirac M. Depack, 26, was driving a Nissan Sentra northbound when her vehicle went off the road. The Nissan struck a utility pole and then overturned, ejecting her from the vehicle.

Depack was taken to the Geisinger Wyoming Medical Center, Plains Township, Luzerne County, by Pocono Mountain Regional ambulance. Police said she sustained serious injuries. Tunkhannock Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene. Damages were termed severe to the vehicle.
