Theft incidents being investigated
State police at Lehighton reported investigating several thefts.
A man on Earl Lane, Pocono Pines in Eldred Township, Monroe County, reported someone stole a black tow dolly and various pieces of scrap metal from his property. The theft occurred sometime between May 17-24.
A theft incident at the Blue Mountain Ski Area in Lower Towamensing Township is being investigated. Criminals cut eight 100-foot black power cords containing copper wire and five 60-amp Hubel pin connectors from snowmaking machines at the site. The theft was reported at 1:45 a.m. May 24.
Miscellaneous metal scraps were taken from the property at 238 Butternut St. in Effort. The victim reported the incident at 4 p.m. May 29.
Several batteries from construction machinery were removed from Chestnut Ridge Sand Quarry in Eldred Township. The theft occurred sometime between June 2 at noon and June 3 at 6:30 a.m.
It was reported that two 200-foot rolls of wire fencing were removed from a front yard on Fiddletown Road in Kunkletown sometime between 5:30 and 10 a.m. June 4.
A motorcycle was stolen from 518 Hamilton St., Bowmanstown, sometime between June 5-8. The bike is owned by a 55-year-old man from Slatington.
Ignition keys were stolen from multiple vehicles parked in the 100 block of Heck Road in Kunkletown. The thefts occurred sometime between 7 and 8 p.m. June 10.
A house sign, No. 3604, was stolen from a home along Hillside Drive in Saylorsburg. The theft occurred sometime between May 29-30.
