Rock thrown at moving vehicle

State police at Frackville are investigating an incident in which someone threw a rock at a moving vehicle. Troopers said the incident occurred at 6:31 p.m. on Saturday along Route 61, southbound, near Darkwater Road, in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said a bobtail truck was being driven southbound when someone threw the rock from a wooded area and struck the windshield of the truck, causing a crack.

Troopers did not identify the driver but said the truck is owned by Leonards Transportation Inc., of Farmington, New York. No injuries were reported.
