Schuylkill driver facing charges

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a misdemeanor charge following a traffic stop.

State police at Frackville said John Charles Paletskie Jr., 38, of Mahanoy City, was stopped at 12:50 a.m. Saturday along Route 1008 in West Mahanoy Township. At the stop it was learned that Paletskie did not have an ignition interlock system on his vehicle, which he was required to have due to a driving under the influence conviction.

He was charged with operating a motor vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock.
