The engagement of Melissa DeFrain of Slatington and Scott Levendusky of Palmerton has been announced by their parents.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of David and Susan DeFrain of Slatington.
She is a graduate of Northern Lehigh High School. She also graduated from Muhlenberg College and Cedar Crest College.
She is currently employed as a kindergarten teacher in the Northern Lehigh School District.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Ronald and Mary Levendusky of Palmerton.
He is a graduate of Palmerton Area High School.
He is employed at the Blue Shamrock Golf Club, formerly known as Blue Ridge Country Club.
The couple is planning a wedding for July 11 of this year.
