The Tamaqua Public Library's Teen/Young Adult Book Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday. The theme is "Exploring the World in Books." This month will concentrate on Ireland and St. Patrick.
New members are always welcome.

Rush taxes
Rush Township Dolores Walck has announced that her tax office will not open until March 25. Mailed tax payments will be accepted during this time.

Zion Lewistown
Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at this Sunday's 10:30 a.m. service in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:15 a.m.
Activities for next week include: Thursday, Bible study session at 12:30 p.m., Confirmation class meets at 6:30 p.m.
Calvary Evangelical
The Rev. Ed Bean will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service Sunday in Calvary Evangelical Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes are at 9:15 a.m.
Also this Sunday, a Bible study session based on the book of Jonah will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Next week's community Lenten service will be held at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Zion United Methodist Church, Reynolds. A hymn sing will be held before the service.
A family movie night will be held at 7 p.m. Friday. The featured presentation will be part two of the series "Left Behind" starring Kirk Cameron.
St. Peter's Union
Sunday worship services are held at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's Union Church, Mantzville. This Sunday's service will feature the "One Great Hour of Sharing." Sunday school will meet at 10:15 a.m.
Also Sunday, confirmation class will meet at 11:30 a.m.; Cub Scouts meet at 4 p.m.; bell choir rehearses at 6 p.m.; Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadets meet at 6 p.m.
Activities for next week include: Monday, church board meets at 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Women of St. Peter's meet at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, retirees meet at 10 a.m., midweek Lenten service, 7:30 p.m., Zion Stone Church, New Ringgold; Thursday, prayer group meets at 5 p.m.
