Saving money for taxpayers
Dear editor,
When I ran for office three years ago, I promised taxpayers I would save them money. I see my role as asking tough questions and making tough choices for the taxpayer. As a member of the Summit Hill Borough Council, I've significantly reduced debt for the borough and cut taxes two years in a row. Summit Hill was the only borough to cut taxes twice.
When I am casting a vote, I always ask myself, "Will this benefit the taxpayers and property owners who elected me?"
I will continue to use that standard.
That may make me unpopular with the good old boys, but so be it.
Sincerely,
Jesse Walck
Summit Hill Councilman
