Theft incidents

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating two theft incidents.

Troopers said someone removed an outside air conditioner from the property at 1300 Sherwood Forest Road, in Jackson Township, Monroe County. The theft occurred sometime between April 17 and 19. The unit is valued at $1,000. The property is owned by REO Assets Acquisitions.

The residence at 58 Cayuga Drive, Pleasant Valley West, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, was entered when criminals forced open a rear door. Several interior walls were damaged in an apparent attempt to steal copper piping.

Before leaving the criminals left about 100 car tires, 30 televisions, three refrigerators and various pieces of furniture in the garage. The home is in foreclosure and owned by Federal National Mortgage Association. The incident occurred sometime between Feb. 20 and Wednesday.

Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
