Break-in, theft incidents investigated

State police at Fern Ridge reported on a burglary and theft incidents investigated by troopers.

The break-in was reported by Helen Ziegler, at 747 Jonas Road in Effort, Monroe County. Criminals gained entry through a basement window. They searched through various desk drawers and room closets but it is not known if anything was taken. The incident occurred sometime between 9 a.m. April 3 and 7:26 p.m. April 4.

Troopers said a pickup owned by Pocono Farms, located at 1530 Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, had a toolbox containing various tools and LED taillights removed from it. The theft occurred sometime between 6 p.m. April 28 and 6:59 a.m. April 29.

A theft of services incident was also investigated. Troopers said someone left two black garbage bags full of trash in a trash dumpster at the Exxon station, located along Route 115, in Effort, Chestnuthill Township.

The incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. April 16 and 8:37 a.m. April 18.
