McAdoo woman faces DUI charges

Rush Township Police are preparing to file charges of driving under the influence against a McAdoo woman after receiving results of a blood test done on April 9.

Officers stopped a vehicle on Claremont Avenue at 1:50 a.m. that day and identified the driver as Michelle Weaver, 42, of McAdoo. She was transported to Schuylkill Medical Center South, Pottsville, after officers observed several signs of possible intoxication.

The test results indicate she had a blood-alcohol content of 0.179 percent, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
