Man cited in hit-and-run

Rush Township police will cite Stanley Colin Moldenhauer, 34, of Hometown, in connection with a hit-and-run accident on May 2.

Moldenhauer was driving a 2001 Mercury south on Tamaqua Street, when he struck a parked 2014 Subaru. He left the scene, then struck a mailbox along Wayne Avenue, where he was located by police. Officers detected several signs of inebriation and transported him to Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson Street, Pottsville, for blood tests.

Charges are pending the test results.
