Support Gerhard and Nothstein for commissioners

Dear Editor,

I support Tom Gerhard and Wayne Nothstein for county commissioners because:

1. They are working with Mr. O'Gurek to make the county government work better, a team approach.

2. They are improving county properties with energy-efficient lighting systems.

3. They saved the animal shelter.

4. They built a new firing range to train law enforcement officers.

5. Both candidates declined a pay raise in 2013.

6. They did something very unusual: They eliminated a money-losing operation. The recycling service is now provided by a taxpaying private industry at NO cost to the TAXPAYER.
